Jerry Moran has been a United States Congressman since 1997, serving proudly the people of the "Big First" district in Kansas. In Congress, Moran has been a consistent conservative who was never afraid to stand up to party leaders again excessive spending and growth in government. Moran currently serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure, Agriculture and Veterans Affairs committees. As a senior member of the Agriculture Committee, Moran understands the importance of farming and agriculture not only to the economy of Kansas but the entire United States. He has continued to strive for legislation to improve crop insurance, support to livestock producers and address the rising energy costs. Prior to serving in the United States Congress, Moran served in the Kansas Senate for eight years, the last two as the Majority Leader. His decades of service in public office will make him an asset to both the United States Senate and the citizens of Kansas. I am proud to be a supporter of Jerry Moran’s campaign for Senate.
